Maniacal Movie Poster Monday #162!

Well, after a month of movie posters, now we can finally get back to some...movie posters!

The Protector  (Golden Harvest, 1985)

Jackie's third attempt to break into the US market - after The Big Brawl in 1980 and the Cannonball Run movies in 1981 and 1984 - this flick tried to make Jackie into a Chuck Norris/Charles Bronson style tough cop - which is completely unlike Jackie's natural winning persona. Consequently, it failed. (That's not to say the movie isn't entertaining - it is - if only to see how it doesn't work.) It took another twelve years and a little flick called Rush Hour - to finally make Jackie Chan a superstar in America.

Dracula's Widow  (De Laurentiis Entertainment Group, 1987)

Sylvia Kristel makes a fetching Mrs. D in this otherwise tepid horror flick shot right here in my current hometown of Wilmington NC!

The Blue Horse  (Corosa Pictures, 2009)

I know nothing about this movie - but man, that's creepy.

Until next post, you Can Poke Me With A Fork, Cause I Am Outta Here!
